Who we are
This website belongs to Future Romania VIRO HUB UK, the United Kingdom hub of Future Romania. For any question about your data, email us at hub.uk@futureromania.ro.
What we collect
Only what you send us through the contact and proposal forms: your name, email address, town or city (optional), the content of your message or proposal and, if you choose, an attached file.
Through the associate member application we also collect your interests and skills, the time you can give, your experience and motivation, and your LinkedIn profile and/or CV.
This site does not use tracking or advertising cookies.
Why we use it
To reply to you and, for proposals, to review them and take them forward. We use associate member applications to assess whether your profile fits the hub's needs and to contact you. The legal basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form.
Event announcements
If you subscribe to event announcements, we keep your email address, first name (optional) and the language you want to receive messages in. We use them only to email you about new hub events. The legal basis is your consent.
Every email includes an unsubscribe link. Once you unsubscribe we send you nothing more and delete your address at the next clean-up of the list, at most 12 months later, or straight away if you ask.
Who sees member applications
Only the members of the leadership team responsible for selection. CVs are kept separately, in a folder with restricted access.
Where it is stored
Submissions are saved in the organisation's Google Workspace account (Google Sheets and Google Drive) and emailed to the leadership team. We do not sell your data or pass it to third parties for commercial purposes.
How long we keep it
Messages and proposals: up to 24 months after our last correspondence with you.
Associate member applications that are not accepted: up to 6 months after the decision. If you become a member, we keep your details while you are involved with the hub and for up to 12 months afterwards.
You can ask us to delete your data sooner at any time.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to see, correct or delete your data, and you can withdraw your consent. Email us at hub.uk@futureromania.ro. If you are not happy with our reply, you can contact the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
